Is someone stealing your website content? Probably!

Posted Monday, August 1st, 2011 at 5:24 am

Greetings and welcome to our very first video blog post.

I was doing some routine copyright infringement checking on our website this weekend and found 9 different companies who were using content stolen from my website.  The level of theft ranged from a few copied paragraphs of text, all the way to a complete rip-off of my entire website.  Needless to say, it’s incredibly aggravating (to say the least!) to find another company stealing what I paid dearly (in time and money) to create. Dell Desktop & Laptop Systems Of The Week!

Posted Monday, June 6th, 2011 at 5:36 am

Deal Of The Week – 6/5/11
Here’s a great offer for a new Dell desktop and Dell laptop. Great for home or office use! Compare these systems against the ‘$499 deal’ systems you see in the Sunday paper. Those systems are typically under-powered, come with a 1 year ‘mail in’ warranty, and are missing the key productivity software you need. Continue reading

We frequently hear the complaint, “My computer is running slowly”. When we dig into the actual symptoms, many times we find that it’s not so much the computer that is slow, but rather the Internet connection. Continue reading

Importance of backups / How to backup

Posted Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011 at 3:16 am

Imagine this, you are about to send an email to a very important client. This email in particular is also very important, as it includes an invoice to be sent to a client for services rendered by you or your company. This invoice has been generated through your accounting software, which you just installed 8 months ago. Continue reading

Cyber-criminals goes where the people are

Posted Sunday, March 6th, 2011 at 10:14 pm

Sometimes I hear people say “Mac’s are much more secure than Windows” or “I don’t need to worry about security on my smartphone”. Cyber-crime has always been targeted more at PC’s simply because that’s what the majority of people use. With the rise in use of iPhones, Droids, and Mac’s, the threats are heading that way too.

Parental controls / Keeping kids safe on the Internet

Posted Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011 at 5:57 am

Long lost are the days when parents could rely primarily on movie and music ratings for guidance on what their children could or could not watch and listen to.  And while these ratings are still in place, and now apply to TV and video games as well, modern parents must take extra steps to regulate their children’s entertainment. Continue reading

Scammers, liars, and thieves, oh my!!

Posted Thursday, March 25th, 2010 at 5:24 pm

Greetings – I’ve been hearing ads on the radio recently asking ‘Is your computer running slowly?’ They then go on to spew out a bunch of techno-babble about how your computer ‘might be infected with spam, popups, adware’ etc. “Don’t buy a new computer” they say, just run our ‘free’ program and your computer will run twice as fast! If your computer crashed right now, would you be ready?

Posted Friday, March 12th, 2010 at 3:27 pm

Imagine if you came in to your office tomorrow and found that your laptop/desktop/server had been stolen. How long could your business continue to operate without access to the information on those computers? How much would it cost to recreate all the company records, customer lists, documents, emails, and financial data, and would it even be possible? Continue reading
